Sheridan Scholastica holds a master's degree in social science and is the author of Listen Up, an exploration of children and childhoods that are different and silenced. As a lived experience insider researcher and mother of three boys, Sheridan's interests lay in seeing people deeply and honouring difference in all its forms. Also a trauma informed therapist and consultant, with particularly fascination in how childhood trauma impacts individuals and their lifelong journey in discovering one's true self.

For 27 years, Sheridan has devoted herself to the healing arts. Living and training in Australia, China, Japan and Slovenia. A passionate Collaborative Problem Solving advocate in working with children to resolve their problems, and a trauma informed therapist combining her lived experience and research with Compassionate Inquiry. 

Sheridan is the creator of the Willingness to Understand method of listening to children who are different.
